A blast from the past.
In the 1980s DC comics had this series reinvented by writer Marv Woflman and drawn by legendary Carmine Infantino about two teens that had magical "power dials" that turned them into a different super hero for one hour.
The twist was that the heroes, villains, settings and the civilian wardrobe of the cast was made by the readers! Dial H For Hero was featured in Adventure Comics and later moved to The New Adventures of Superboy to boost sales.
I recall making up many characters, but only this villain and later fashions for the protagonists were my published works. At the time I was 16, and in high school.
My villain super powers was the same as his name, he could take partially or completely away any or all your five senses.
I wonder if DC still keeps © and TM of all the characters they gained in these series after all these years?

Absolutely loved this series as a kid. I liked when he spelled HORROR and turned into a monster.
